Family Intervention/Mediation

Are you, or is someone in your family struggling with addictions or abuse, or self-destructive behavior? SACYA deals with the full range of adolescent/ adult issues, and their impact on families or the social groups of your family. 

 We are available to intervene or mediate in these situations  providing assistance and answers.

Intervention/Mediation is handled in the following manner:

• SACYA doctoral staff will meet individually or collectively with all individuals concerned, initially without the addicted adolescent or adult, to discuss how the family feels about the situation and how it is impacting them on a personal level 
• An action plan is developed, and individual assignments given to help each member involved come to terms with the situation and the solutions proposed
• 72 hours later, a follow-up group meeting is held to decide how to bring the affected adolescent or adult to a meeting in order to discuss long-term solutions and assistance.

Following rehab or de-tox programs, SACYA believes in providing assistance that is best suited to the client, be it short or long-term counseling, or in-patient counseling (residential programs), in order to facilitate lasting change.
